How did you feel when you found out that you won?
Happy!
We want to get to know you a little bit better. Can you tell us about your family?
I have 2 daughters and 2 sons. They are all studying in school right now. Their ages are 18, 17, 12 and 7.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love to clean my room, do Bible study, read, and wash clothes.
Who is your role model and why?
My sister from Godavari who works at Assa Nepal, her name is Bimila. She has helped me a lot and I have learned a lot from her. I used to live at Assa Nepal and she helped me gain work experience. I helped make the food and feed the children.
If you only had one word to describe yourself, what would it be?
I think of myself as a strong woman, whatever situation or hardship that comes in my life, I am able to tackle it and keep a smile.
What have you learned from working at Purnaa that you would like to pass on to others?
People can really improve their life if they want to. I have learned to make the most of your own life; we are the ones to improve our own lives. I learned that here.
What is your job at Purnaa?
I am a sewer.
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
Before I used to only see people sewing, and now I get to be involved and do the sewing. I enjoy sewing.

What did you do before you worked at Purnaa?
Before working here I didn’t have a specific job.
What is different about Purnaa from other places you’ve been?
Before here I was at Assa Nepal, and now I am able to work myself, independently and earn something. This is a really good time in my life.
What keeps you coming to work?
Right now, between my work and myself, I am satisfied and happy. I have been able to give enough services to my children, so I am happy.
How have you changed as a person since working here?
I am the type of person who loves to work without expecting or hoping or being dependent on other people. After coming to Purnaa, I am able to achieve what I want to and improve. I have found work that I like and have improved.
What dreams do you have for the future?
In my work environment, I want to grow here and continue working here. In my personal life, I want my children to study more and I want to see them settled.
