Recently Purnaa's founder, Corban Bryant, had the exciting privilege of joining the #ConversationsFromNepal project with US Ambassador to Nepal Dean Thompson, and entrepreneurs Parag Shrestha from Fusemachines, and Pavitra Gautam from Karkhana to talk about entrepreneurship in Nepal. Thank you AMCHAM Nepal for creating the opportunity for us to join this session with esteemed Nepal entrepreneurs. It's an honor for us to join this fantastic panel and share a few of Purnaa's lessons learned as a social enterprise in Nepal. Watch the full Conversations from Nepal | Entrepreneurship, U.S. Embassy Nepal interview below.
We agree with Ambassador Thompson's statement that “Nepal is resilient and holds vast potential. The youth here have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and are the driving force for creating innovation.” We hope Purnaa's contribution as a social enterprise in Nepal will inspire other entrepreneurs to make a difference in their communities through sustainable, ethical business and particularly to look for ways to create job opportunities for marginalized people.
The Conversations From Nepal interview continues Purnaa's collaboration with the US government having received the Secretary of States Award for Corporate Excellence in 2021 and starting a Grant Project through the USAID Trade and Competitiveness Program in 2023. We're grateful for these incredible US Government programs investing in entrepreneurship in Nepal.
We are also encouraged to see the amazing work of Fusemachines and Karkhana in Nepal. It was a privilege to hear more about their stories of entrepreneurship and impact in the nation.
