Purnaa Launches High Quality, Fair Trade, Cap Embroidery in Nepal

We are now offering high-quality, low-cost, embroidery using certified recycled polyester threads on Fair Trade caps, hats, garments and accessories.

Our Embroidery Journey

In partnership with the USAID Trade and Competitiveness program in Nepal, Purnaa has invested in state-of-the-art embroidery machines to enhance our sustainable, Fair Trade cap manufacturing capabilities.

Purnaa has invested NPR 11,002,100 (around USD $82,000) in advanced machinery and manpower, coupled with USAID's support of NPR 3,845,800 (around USD $28,000) for training and market research. This added capability is poised to increase business and create even more sustainable job opportunities in Nepal.

Why Fair Trade Embroidery?

Embroidery Colors

Our machines can embroider up to 16 colors in one design (including on caps)!

With over 40+ colors in stock, our project managers will help match your artwork with our stock colors, and if we don't have the color you want, we will order additional colors in for no extra charge (there is an additional lead time of 2 weeks for this service).

Embroidery Cost

Pricing is super simple with no embroidery digitization or setup fees! We have a flat price per embroidery location, rather than complicated calculations based on size or thread count. The cost of embroidery reduces when you increase the quantities.

Design Guidelines for all Products (including Caps)

Our guidelines for embroidery projects ensure optimal results and compliance with our high quality standards. We can add designs on any flat piece of fabric before a product is sewn together and u se up to 16 thread colors in your design.

Specifically for caps, we can embroider

Up to 3" high x 7" wide on the front panel of a Mid-Pro cap
Up to 2" high x 5" wide on the front panel of a Skate cap
Embroidery on the side panels or back of cap also available
Detailed features as thin as 0.02" and text as small as 0.25" high
Our machines have super-wide capabilities, handling up to a 12" x 10" Sewing Field

Embroidery Lead Time

Lead times to embroider will typically take 1-2 weeks more than our standard cap lead times. Custom colors can be ordered at no extra cost with an additional lead time of 2 weeks.

MOQs (Minimum Order Quantities)

Our embroidery MOQs match our product MOQs. So, for example, caps are 12 pieces per style, 48 pieces per order and t-shirts are 24 pieces for in-stock t-shirts and 100 for made-to-order production runs.

Artwork Submission

Ready to bring your vision to life? Simply submit your artwork in Jpeg, Png, Pdf, Ai, or Ofm - the artwork must be at least 300 dpi. Our team of embroidery experts will handle the rest.
